Moulded Plywood, a high-quality and elegant product
Wood is a composite material by nature; its microscopic fibres are bound together and it bends in the wind and becomes anything but flat and straight. The moulded plywood reproduces the natural structure of the solid wood as it retains the memory of the roundness of the tree trunk. From there, its ability to create forms of all kinds, that are impossible to manufacture in its original form, makes it an outstanding material and a real basis for innovation.

The wood: an eco-friendly product
Wood remains the most effective and efficient material from an ecological perspective. Natural, renewable, it is locally available in abundance, particularly in France where the supply and growth of forested land, which is the largest in Europe, outstrips the current demand for wood.
Wood is 100% recyclable and consumes five times less energy than PVC and fifty times less energy than aluminium in terms of production. It also has very low energy consumption in terms of transformation. If it were used as a substitute for energy-intensive products, wood would help to save 27 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent. Even better, every year, there are 14% of national emissions of greenhouse gases are absorbed by French forests as a tree consumes 1 ton of CO2 during its growth.
In other words, use wood as it is fighting against the greenhouse effect, as it is preserving our planet from global warming and it is ensuring biodiversity for tomorrow.
Beauty, strength and flexibility whilst respecting our environment
Compared to solid wood, moulded wood offers the same structural characteristics, but adds an exceptional mechanical stability and strength, guaranteeing its durability over time. Completely natural, it allows the economical use of the more expensive trees where the use of solid wood for arched and curved pieces leads to a significant loss of material.
Moulded wood is a natural product that challenges the most contemporary synthetic composite materials from environmental, aesthetic and sustainability points of view. It is a nontoxic raw material compared to synthetic materials such as PVC which is now banned in some countries and our adhesives meet the most stringent standards. The moulded wood retains the beauty of the original timber and it has an impact resistance that cannot be challenged by more rigid synthetic materials.
All tree species
Beech, Okoume, Poplar and Oak wood … The various trees were sliced on wire or slab, and the more common woods are laminated. The veneer which is extremely thin, less than 1 mm thick when sliced or between 1 and 2 mm for the laminated, is trimmed in size or, conversely, attached to others, especially for sliced, larger formats.
On the visible side, the choice of materials and aspects is extensive. These include cherry, oak, ebony, mahogany, koto, aniegre, framiré, douka, sapele, elm, ash, hazelnut, birch, maple, pine, amongst others, but also any other formable coating – limited only by your own imagination.
The wood sheets for the visisble sides are carefully selected at the factory then pre-sandpapered. The entire veneer, after being glued, is hot moulded to a variety of designs into their respective moulds.
